We have partnered with Arizona State University (ASU), ranked as the most innovative university in the U.S. for 10 consecutive years (U.S. News and World Report 2016–25). ASU is a public university recognized for its academic reputation, employment outcomes, international research network, and the innovation of its academic programs.

How does the model work?

UNAB International College

To obtain your second degree, you must complete your first three academic years at UNAB and the final year with ASU*, choosing from one of the following study formats:

This unique program offers you the opportunity to enroll at Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB), attend classes for 3 years in Chile, and then complete your fourth year in the United States* to earn a dual degree—one from UNAB and one from Arizona State University.

Live your final year of university in the U.S., attend classes in Arizona, and enjoy an incredible campus life experience.
By the end of the fourth year, you’ll earn an academic degree from UNAB and a bachelor’s degree from ASU*.
You may apply for the OPT (Optional Practical Training) Program to obtain a work permit in the U.S. for up to three years after graduation, depending on the program.

Complete your final year at ASU through virtual classes with professors, materials, and resources from the U.S. university, in a dedicated space on the UNAB campus designed to help you make the most of this American remote learning experience.
By the end of the fourth year, you’ll receive a degree from UNAB and a bachelor’s degree from ASU (the same diploma as full-immersion option).

Both options allow you to continue on to a master’s degree either at UNAB or ASU.

You can apply for the OPT (Optional Practical Training) Program to obtein a work permit in the U.S.

for up to three years after graduation.

Admission Requirements:

To join the program, you must:

  •  Apply through the centralized admission system with required standardized exams.
  • Apply through Direct Admission via any of the entry options.
  • Apply through the International Baccalaureate.
  • Take an English test to certify your level (B1, B2).

To access the fourth year at ASU:

  • Certify a B2 English level (via Duolingo English Test, TOEFL, or by completing ASU’s “English for Admission and Achievement” 8-week course).
  • Have an academic average of 5.0 or higher on the 1.0 – 7.0 Chilean grading scale.
  • Additional application requirements may apply depending on the program

To apply for the OPT program in the U.S., you must choose the in-person ASU option for your 4th year.
